New Appointment: Standby UK – Andrew Buxton – Sales & Marketing Manager

Standby UK are extremely pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Buxton (MAFP) as their Sales & Marketing Manager for the UK & Ireland. Andrew has over 30 years’ experience in the Emergency Service industry, mostly servicing the industry with global OE’s Mercedes-Benz and the BMW Group with some time with spent at two vehicle role-converters.

Technology advances

The STANDBY Group has designed, developed, and produced a significantly enhanced version 2 of the highly successful CARAT system. This advanced technology enables the vehicle driver to safely control essential electronic equipment fitted to Emergency Service Blue and Amber light Essential Use vehicles using the existing dashboard infotainment touchscreen.

Originally designed for Volvo vehicles, CARAT is also now available for integration into most VW Group vehicles (incl. Audi, Skoda, Volkswagen, SEAT and Cupra). CARAT also now has UK Airwave certification and a new application enabling STANDBY UK to design bespoke infotainment screen layouts including individual Fleet Operator selection of the screen colour, text type, symbols, button size and messenger sign text. The CARAT system is fully supported by the STANDBY UK Technical Department and Mobile Engineers.
