Superdrug Names New Supply Chain Director Amid Growth Push

Superdrug has promoted Mark Peaker to supply chain director, appointing a long-time insider to lead logistics as the retailer looks to support continued growth across stores and ecommerce.

Peaker moves up from his previous role as head of commercial finance, a position he held for six years. During that time, he worked closely with the supply chain function, giving him a solid grounding in the operational challenges now under his remit.

He will take responsibility for end-to-end supply chain operations across both Superdrug and Savers, covering distribution, availability and network performance.

Before joining Superdrug, Peaker held transformation roles at the John Lewis Partnership, focusing on productivity and operational improvements—experience likely to shape his approach in the new role.

The appointment follows the departure of former supply chain director Chris Warn, who has joined Marks & Spencer.

Superdrug’s chief executive and AS Watson Health & Beauty UK director, Peter Macnab, described the supply chain as “a key part of our business, underpinning everything from store availability to our ability to support continued growth.” He said Peaker’s blend of commercial and operational experience makes him well placed to lead the function.

From a transport and logistics perspective, the move reflects a wider trend: retailers are leaning on leaders who understand both the numbers and the operation. With cost pressures still high and service expectations rising, supply chain roles are increasingly central to overall business performance.

Peaker now steps into the role at a point where consistency, availability and cost control remain high on the agenda, alongside the longer-term need to build a supply chain that can scale with the business.
