Anne-Marie Trevelyan Named As New Transport Secretary

New prime minister Liz Truss has named Anne-Marie Trevelyan as the new transport secretary, replacing the outgoing Grant Shapps.

She tweeted “I am thrilled to have been appointed Transport Secretary. Transport is crucial to our lives – bringing people together, creating jobs and connecting the UK with the world. Looking forward to getting to work on the many challenges & opportunities transport brings”

Prior to joining parliament in 2015 as the MP for Berwick, Trevelyan was the campaign director for the lobbying group, “Dual the A1 Campaign”
